Proud Mommy

I just wanted to highlight my kids’ most recent accomplishments. I always try to make sure I acknowledge their accomplishments and let them know how I proud I am of them.

First up, the little dude! I can’t believe my baby boy has graduated from kindergarten; the years have gone by way too fast. He transitioned so well from daycare to kindergarten, and I’m so proud of the awesome progress that he’s made in all of his subjects. 

Next is my Mini-me. My daughter was chosen to play on the 10U All-Star team for her softball league. I’m super proud of her because she just started playing a couple of years ago, and she’s worked really hard to get better and better each season.

I’m such a proud mommy!!

My First Birchbox

After hearing so many great things about Birchbox from different bloggers and on social media sites, I decided to see what is was all about. My beauty routine is all but nonexistent, all I use is cleanser and a moisturizer with SPF. Did I mention that I'm not much of a makeup girl, either? I don't wear it on a daily basis, and even on the occasions when I do wear it, I only wear eyeliner and eyeshadow. I wonder if Maybelline Baby Lips counts as makeup? Probably not, especially since I only wear the Peppermint which is clear, lol. So you can see why this program would be a good fit for me. I get to try samples of different products, that could possibly become part of my routine, without committing to buying a full size product. Sounds good, right? This month's box was Gossip Girl themed. The samples were "inspired by by the series and Manhattan's chIcest events". The box itself was very Manhattan:

I haven't tried any of the products yet, but they do seem promising. I want to use the products for at least a week or two before I do a review to ensure that I'm giving the products a fair chance to produce the results that they claim. So be on the lookout for a review post.

I felt like a kid on Christmas morning. There was a lot of jumping up and down combined with some clapping and squealing, lol. I think I might have hurt my husband's back when I leapt into his arms, though. Sorry!

Caution: Woman at Work

Yep, that’s me at work. Tres chic, right? I look like a glow in the dark blueberry, lol! I really think you can see those hi-vis stripes from the moon. The fact that I have to wear this uniform four out of every eight days is one of main reasons I’ve really tried to step up my fashion game on my off days. Did I mention that I also wear steel toed boots and a yellow hard hat?
